INTECH MEGABOTS

We are First and VEX robotics teams. Like a well-oiled machine, 2993 MegaBots works as long and hard as possible to bring functioning and effective, robots to the field. From those who tighten the bolts, to those who schedule events, to those who design the shirts, we all work to effectively benefit the team.

PastaRama

PastaRama is a fundraising event we hold each year. We sell entry tickets for $10 which allows you to get into the event and get a meal along with it. The food served include, pasta, salad, etc.. We do a presentation of our team and demonstrate the robot. We also have a silent and live auction to sell some items that have been donated to us!

FIRST ROBOTICS

FIRST is a Robotics program that provides students with authentic engineering experiences. It also teaches students teamwork, problem solving, and gives them the ability to make their ideas come to life. While building a robot is the main goal, there are also media and business teams that teach students how to approach businesses for fundraising, plan and organize events, and design t-shirts, buttons, posters, and websites. In January, a video that described the competition and all the tasks that the robot has to perform was released. From that point, the students have two months to design, prototype, build and program a successful robot. We then go to the competition and compete against teams from all over the world.

VEX ROBOTICS

VEX robotics is a unique and creative opportunity for those interested in engineering.  Students form a team of up to six members and build a robot to compete against others around the state.  Building, programming, and documentation are all part of the process.  This gives everyone on the team an opportunity to be involved with the creation of the robot.   Multiple competitions take place during the year, and each one is a chance to redesign and improve the robot.  Competitions are full day events where students meet other teams and exchange ideas.  VEX culminates in a final state level tournament, and if our team qualifies, they will face off against the best teams with hopes of going to an international level competition that takes place in Louisville, Kentucky.
